3 Facts About Me
#1: I eat the same thing for breakfast every morning– instant oatmeal with strawberries, cocoa powder, almond butter, cinnamon, coconut flakes, and a little Splenda. It’s delicious and I’m always excited to go to bed so I can wake up and eat my oatmeal.
#2: I pretty much have no upper body strength. However, my legs are extremely strong and kinda makes up for the fact that my arms not very useful. I usually move things with my legs when I can.
#3: I don’t like to take painkillers, so whenever I have to take them, my body reacts extremely fast. When I got my wisdom teeth taken out, they prescribed 800mg ibuprofen, in addition to oxycodone. I didn’t even need the oxycodone because the ibuprofen worked just fine, and it also put me to sleep. I am actually sort of nervous to take stronger medications, because I don’t know how my body would respond.
My Answers to Katie’s Questions
#1: If you could pick up any hobby, what would it be?
Hmm… it’s tough to pick just one. I keep writing out answers and deleting them because I keep thinking of other things I’d like to do.
I think I would probably say art in general. I’m just not at all talented in that area! I’m also jealous of people who have ideas in their heads and can just… draw them! I mean, technically I can do that too but it would be bad.
#2: If you travel, where has been your favorite place you have visited?
I wouldn’t say I travel a whole lot, but I have been to various cities in the United States. My favorite place is San Francisco. It’s a beautiful city with a lot to offer, the weather is amazing, and I like the overall vibe. I have been 3 times and I don’t feel like that’s enough.
#3: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I’d love to be a full-time blogger by that point, and offer some type of services… I just don’t know what yet (although I have some ideas).
I would also like to be in the process of building a custom home, or at the very least have purchased the land. It’s been a dream of mine since I was little to have a custom-built house, and my boyfriend also likes the idea.
I’d also like to be at a point where I’m happy with my body and appearance, and am able to present myself in the way I’d like to without restriction. It’s… a fairly complex issue for me and I won’t get into too much detail, but I’d like to be comfortable with my appearance.
#4: What time of day are you the most productive?
Definitely late afternoon / early evening. I’ve always liked that time of day! Sometimes I am productive in the early mornings, at like 7-8am, but not as often as I am around 4-6pm. With my current work schedule, I’m not usually even awake at 7am anymore.
#5: Pretend you are promoting your hometown. Why should someone visit?
Oh man, I actually want to do a full, detailed blog post about this (and I may or not have a collaboration post coming up about this). My hometown is beautiful, and is filled with cute, trendy boutiques, tons of local businesses, a couple of historic districts and museums, walking trails, several parks, great food, two malls, mini-golf, escape games, a VR arcade… there’s TONS do to here for everyone!!
My Favorite and Best Blog Posts
The blog post that has performed the best on my blog is 6 Tips to Practice Better Self-Care in 2019. It is by far my most popular blog post to date and has been shared over 2,000 times on Pinterest, which is AMAZING!!!
However, I don’t think I’d actually call that one my favorite post, but I wanted to mention it because it’s performed so well and my blog wouldn’t be where it is now without it.
I think my favorite post I’ve written is How to Cope with Guilt after Quitting a Toxic Job. That one is my favorite because I had a couple people actually reach out to me privately to tell me how much it helped them, which absolutely meant the world to me that I could touch someone’s life like that and reminded me of what I want this blog to accomplish. It also brings awareness to an issue that isn’t discussed about often, and is something I never would’ve even knew existed until I experienced it myself.
