Hello everyone! I hope you had a safe and happy holiday season. I’m beyond ecstatic that this year is coming to an end, and I’m ready to kick it into high gear with 2019. I’ve set some pretty cool blogging goals that I want to share with you!
I’ve been blogging consistently for about five weeks now, and the vast majority of blogging goals I see are from pretty established bloggers. Though I’m not the first newbie to ever discuss their blogging goals, I figured it would be a great way to start the new year and to hold myself accountable. I also tend to be really bad at setting goals for myself, so sharing them with other people (who aren’t my boyfriend) is good for me.
As always, I hope this can be helpful to you in some way!!
2019 Blogging Goals
Social Media Goals
I currently focus primarily on Pinterest and Twitter to drive traffic to my blog, so I am anticipating the most growth from these platforms.
I know the monthly viewer counts on Pinterest tend to fluctuate from month to month and can vary by season, so I’m not exactly sure how to project my growth, but I am hoping to reach 500k monthly Pinterest viewers by this time next year, and also 1,000 Pinterest followers.
I am pinning roughly 20-30 times a day, with a little over half being manual pins, and the rest scheduled with Tailwind. Sometime in 2019, I’d like to purchase the annual subscription to Tailwind so that I can pin unlimited times per month.
The blogging community on Twitter is so, so supportive its unbelievable. I didn’t prioritize Twitter until maybe a week or so ago? And now I already prefer it to every other social media. My 2019 goal for Twitter is to reach 1,000 followers.
I’m groaning internally as I type this, haha. I’m feeling pretty over trying to grow my Instagram, but I understand that it’s important… so it’s included. The follow/unfollow game is exhausting and it’s not one I’m interested in playing! While I know I could probably do a little bit better if I prioritized it more, my 2019 goal for Instagram is to reach 1,000 followers.

So far in the month of December, I’ve gotten 523 views on my blog. I would love to grow that number all the way up to 10,000 per month at the end of 2019! It’s a tall order, and it also means I’ll have to pay more for hosting… but it would be SO COOL!
I love participating in Facebook groups, Pinterest group boards, and Tailwind tribes. When I’m a little bit bigger (and can figure out what the heck to call it) I want to start my own blogging community to network with and support other bloggers!
eBook or eCourse
I’d love to make some sort of digital product this year! I just… don’t know what. But the wheels are turning…. I’m not artsy at all so it would definitely be some type of thing I can write that’s instructional and helpful.
I’m literally so in love with Pipdig themes. I’m jealous of everyone who has one, but I just didn’t have the extra $ to spend on a theme! I’m seriously considering asking for one for my birthday.
I do have the dream of being a full-time blogger. I know there’s a taboo surrounding that, and it’s something I struggled with for a long time… but there’s nothing wrong with it. I would love to work from anywhere in the world and live my life on my own terms.
Will it happen in 2019? I don’t know. For now, I’d like to make enough from my blog to take care of my student loan payment. So far, I’ve made $3 and I’ve been riding the high of that for quite a while!
I figured I’d include my personal life goals here too, for accountability and because it’s honestly just fun to write about goals.
I drive a 2003 Honda Civic, and she’s been great for the past 6 years, but it’s time for a change. I’ll likely still get a used car, but I’m wanting one with some more modern technology. I’m not exactly thrilled about having a car payment though!
This is cliche but it’s the truth, so here we are. I’m overweight and I could stand to lose a significant amount of weight. I’d like to lose approximately 78 pounds in 2019, at a rate of 1.5 pounds per week. I plan on accomplishing this through calorie counting, because it’s a system that has worked for me in the past.
Transition to Cruelty-Free Household Products
I currently only use cruelty-free makeup products, and I’d love to make the transition to detergent, cleaning supplies, candles, etc.
That’s all I have for you today! I hope reading my goals was helpful for you. It was definitely fun to write them, and it’s nice to have them all in one place on my blog.
